The weekend started off with an assist call to Denver, Station 1-3. Engine 1-1-1 was dispatched just before 03:00 hours for the Rapid Intervention Team assist on a working dwelling fire. Engine 1-1-1 staffed with 6 arrived & was instructed to split crew to assist with fire control and RIT functions. The crew remained on the scene and assisted with repacking hose lines, salvage & overhaul. Engine 1-1-1 cleared the scene around 07:00. Just about 4 hours later Engine 1-1-1 was dispatched to the 2600 Block of North Reading road for Alarm Bells, Chief 1-1 arrived reporting normal conditions, and determined the source of the alarm to be a malfunctioning burglar alarm. Units cleared in about 30 minutes. Sunday around noon, the station was dispatched for an alarm at the elementary school. Chief 1-1-2 arrived on scene to find the emergency generator running, and the heat detector in that room had been triggered.
