Today five members of
the fire company traveled to the Berks County Fire Training Center after
being invited by the Cumru Township Fire Department, Company's 56, 42,
70 and Kenhorst Company 69. Members spent over 4 hours rotating crews
through primary & secondary fire attack crews on the second &
third floors of the building, with multiple fires in sections of each
floor. Crews enhanced their skills with high rise hose-pack evolutions
and stand-pipe connections. Crews also enhanced their skills with Truck
Company operations performing tasks such as search & rescue &
forcible entry. All fire scenarios were held on the commercial side of
the burn building. Thanks to everyone that participated for making this
a very educational & fun training evolution.
