The Berks County Zone 4
Tanker Task Force held a Drill and Station 1-1 participated with Engine
1-1-2. The drill started at Misty Lane, in Cumru Township, with Engine
1-1-2 drafting from the port-a-tanks. The Tanker shuttle fill site was
established near the intersection of Chapel Hill Road & Mohns Hill
Road with Engine 42 Cedar Top, & Engine 56-1 Gouglersville. The crew
of Engine 1-1-2 split and relocated to operate the second fill site operation
with crews from 3-14, Fivepoitville. In a little over 2 hours the units
moved almost 140,000 gallons of water and maintained a flow of
approximately 1,000 gallons per minute. After cleaning up equipment used
and repacking hose loads Engine 2 & it's crew headed to Station 42
Cedar Top for Lunch and a review of the Training.
Later that evening 4
members relocated to Lancaster County Station 6-7, Rohrerstown to Staff
Engine 6-7-1, while their Members participated in the 5th Annual fallen
Firefighters Benefit for the evening. Crews arrived around 22:00 on the
26th and returned to Adamstown at 12:00 on the 27th. Crews had no calls
but appreciated the Breakfast & tour of their primary response
district.
