There are two types of Ring adoptions. Private, or closed, adoptions, are ones where the manager targeted a select group or single individual. Only those who were invited may accept the invitation; if a non-invitee attempts to adopt it, the Ring returns a "not invited" error. Public, or open adoptions, are ones where the manager elected to invite all members. Public adoptions also are open to any qualified user, as defined on the previous page. Private adoptions remain as such until a qualified invitee accepts the invitation or WebRing opens it to all users. Unfortunately, the process is not automated and the Rings are rarely reviewed manually for length of time in private adoption. Until now that meant that you could be waiting quite a long time to apply to adopt a Ring you have your eye on. WebRing has granted me permission to establish a process for opening up private adoptions. All you need to do to is place the Ring ID (not title) of a privately adoptable Ring in the box below and send. If the Ring remains adoptable after fifteen days I will then convert it to a public adoption sometime after that fifteenth day. Please note the following rules/guidelines:
