Code Options

Many users still think their only option for displaying the ring code is the JavaScript. That thinking is so Yahoo! because WebRing has FOUR ways to display your code and still PASS the checker test. The links take you to a page with instructions on obtaining the code type of your choice....or need.

SSNB JavaScript
The JavaScript is the code which you place directly on your site, one time for each URL you register with one or more rings. That single code will call up all rings that are assigned that same "U#", those which share the common registered URL. If placed on the registered URL, this should result in a PASS test result. The manager must also have the Ring configured to accept the SSNB as valid coding

HTML
The HTML code is a longer code which you place directly on your site, one code for every ring membership you hold. Each code only returns the ring for which it was created. If placed on the registered URL, this should result in a PASS test result. The manager must also have the Ring configured to accept the HTML as valid coding

Link-to Table
The table is part of the no-script tag within the JavaScript code. It works just like the JavaScript code by displaying all Rings assigned to it, except that your site is not displaying script. It's ideal for sites which cannot use JavaScript but want the convenience! Instead, you are linking to the stack on WebRing's server. Like the JavaScript, you need only one table per unique URL registered. If placed on the registered URL, this should result in a PASS-L test result. The manager must also have the Ring configured to accept PASS_L as valid linking.

Simple Link
Some "prefabricated" sites don't permit inclusion of any "outside" JavaScript or HTML. However, they often will allow the addition of simple hyperlinks. Just like with the table and JavaScript you are linking to the stack on WebRing's server, thus you need only this one link to display all rings associated with that URL. If placed on the registered URL, this should result in a PASS-L test result. The manager must also have the Ring configured to accept PASS_L as valid linking.
RingMaster won't accept HTML or PASS-L? Should you find that you can neither use any of the above code methods nor get the proper test result (PASS-L where PASS is required) to become active, see if my WebRing Hosting option will work for you!
