CH. Corwyns Wildfire, JH, CGC |
|
We couldn't be more
excited about this girl. Brook has far exceeded our
expectations. Brook achieved her JH title in 2003 in 4 straight hunt tests handled by David and I put her CGC on her that same year.
On September 11, 2004 I handled her to her championship. My first champion! It was a day I shall never forget. She needed a major, this
show was a major and she and I talked before the show and I just asked her to please show her heart out for me and tell the
judge you want this win and my goodness when the judge pointed to us for the 4 pt major I was overwhelmed with emotion!
Brook did everything I asked of her.
Brook has been relaxing now
while Journey (my dane) was in the ring. I brought her out twice as a special and saddly...she didn't do anything but she LOVED
being back out in the ring as she loves attention. She will sit out for a spell again
while I work on finishing our little Ray Ray
and then I plan on trying a new ring with Brook....the rally ring. Brook is so eager to please that I think together we can do this.
So once again...we shall learn together and see what happens!
We are extremely fortunate to have
found a wonderful breeder/mentor turned good friend in Tammy (& John *smile*) Albee of Corwyn Pointers.
Name Game:
Tammy gives her litters "theme
names" and Z's puppies names are all related to fire since
this litter was to produce either orange/white or lemon/white
(which all her pups were orange/white). We chose her
registered name as Wildfire. There is a song about a horse
that ran away whose name was Wildfire and I always had a
fondness for horses and the name fit with the theme so she
is Corwyn's Wildfire. Her call name was a bit harder to
obtain. This was a decision for my husband to make as she
is a companion for him and the boys. David
was against any "girlie human names" and he wanted something
with a meaning.
Since her mother is named after the famous
artist, Paul Cezanne, he did a little research on the
internet and found a painting he liked that Cezanne did.
It is entitled "Brook" (see below). It is one of Cezanne's more famous
renderings. And that is how Brook got her name!
