Douglas A. Spotts, MD, FAAFP

Doug graduated from Juniata College and The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed his family practice residency training at Harrisburg Hospital and is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

Dr. Spotts is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

He is a member of the staff at Evangelical Community Hospital, is on the Evangelical Community Hospital Board, and serves on the Professional Advisory Board of Evangelical Home Health Services and has been board member of the Central Susquehanna Healthcare Providers.

Dr. Spotts is a member of the Union County and Pennsylvania Medical Societies, the American Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Directors Association.

Doug enjoys spending time with his family, music, running, and any outdoor activity.
Outside of professional organizations, Dr. Spotts serves as a Scout leader on the Board of Susquehanna Council, BSA and is a member of the Lewisburg Sunrise Rotary Club. He is active in his church.

Christopher J. Lee, MD

Dr. Lee recently completed his Family Medicine residency requirements at the Williamsport Residency program based at the Williamsport Hospital, where he spent three years practicing adult and pediatric in-patient and out-patient medicine, women's health, and obstetric medicine.

He is a board certified Family physician.

He graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 2003 where he received his M.D. degree. During medical school, Dr. Lee was active in the inner-city child education and assistance programs 'Bridging the Gaps', and 'Big Friends'.

Prior to his medical training, Dr. Lee was an AmeriCorps volunteer in Knox, Pennsylvania, and obtained his Master's degree in Biology in 1998 from Clarion University in Clarion, PA. He was recognized by the University for his work in studying the population genetics of mountain-stream populations of Brook Trout. Much of the training for this project occurred at Lavale University in Quebec City, Canada.

Rebecca Spirko, PA-C

Becky is a Physician Assistant who joined the Douglas A. Spotts, MD Family Medical Care staff in August 2008. She graduated from Loyalsock Township High school in 2004 and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree as a Physician Assistant from the Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2008. She graduated from Penn College with honors and received the Russel M. Trapp Professionalism Award upon graduation.

Becky is actively involved in her church and enjoys spending time with her family and her new husband.

Heather Reinard, RN, Office Manager

Heather is a Registered Nurse and Office Manager. She joined the Douglas A. Spotts, MD
Family Medical Care staff in September 2003. She graduated from Line Mountain High School and received her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Penn College.

Heather spends her free time listening to music and she enjoys walking, photography, sketching, psychology and philosophy.

Jennifer Satteson, LPN

Jenn is a licensed practical nurse and joined the Douglas A. Spotts, MD Family Medical Care staff in March 2004. She attended Meadowbrook Christian School and received her nursing diploma from the Danville Area School District.

Jenn's interests include gardening, landscaping, music, walking, football and campfires.

Valerie Morris, LPN

Valerie is a Licensed Practical Nurse. She joined the Douglas A. Spotts, MD Family Medical Care staff in July 2005. Val graduated from West Snyder High School, SUN Area Vocational Training School, and received her diploma from Central Susquehanna Career Center.

Valerie enjoys antiquing, reading, going for walks, and spending time with her family.

Amber Furgison, LPN

Amber is a licensed practical nurse. She joined the team of Family Medical Care in April 2007. She graduated from West Snyder High School. She then attended Central Susquehanna LPN Career Center to receive her diploma. She also attended Mt. Nittany Institute of Natural Health for massage therapy.

Amber enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She also enjoys walking, reading, and shopping.

Valerie Warren, Medical Assistant

Val joined the Douglas A. Spotts, MD Family Medical Care staff in December 2005. She is a graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School and received her Associate Degree from McCann Business School.

Val enjoys music, camping, watching football, and spending time with her friends.

Carol Pursel, Clinical Assistant

Carol is a clinical assistant and joined the Douglas A. Spotts, MD Family Medical Care staff in August 2003. She is a graduate from Milton Area High School and received her Associate's Degree in Specialized Business from Central Penn Business School.

Carol collects Longaberger baskets, enjoys reading, gardening, and redecorating her home.

Debra Doan, Medical Secretary

Deb joined the Douglas A. Spotts, MD Family Medical Care staff in August 2003. She is a graduate of Coatesville Area High School and relocated to the Central Pennsylvania area.

Deb enjoys relaxing at home with her husband and their dogs, growing herbs and flowers, and antiquing. She loves the Gulf Coast of Florida, white beaches, blue water, and palm trees.

Bethany Rishel, Medical/ Billing Secretary

Beth joined the Douglas A. Spotts, MD Family Medical Care staff in September 2008. She is a graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.

Beth enjoys camping, hunting, farming, fishing and spending time with her family and friends.

Suzanne Radel, Billing / Medical Secretary

Sue is our billing and medical secretary and joined the Douglas A. Spotts, MD Family Medical Care staff in September 2003. She is a graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School and SUN Vocational Technical School.

Sue spends her spare time baking and cooking, creating crafts, and spending time with her family.
