Some
of My Tools and Stuff
My
Airbrush's
I
got the Badger Cresendo
175 (which is the one one
the bottom) at a Michaels
craft store using a 50%
off coupon they put in the
newspaper so it only cost
me $65, which is a steal.
It is my first Badger double
action airbrush and I'm
liking it. Up till now I've
used Astek single action
airbrush's I got at Wal-Mart
and a very nice Astek 430
double action airbrush set
that I got at a hobby store
that went out of business.
Even though I really like
the Badger I just got I
will not bad mouth the Astek
airbrushes because I think
over the past year they
have helped me learn the
airbrushing skill. However
since I've started using
the Badger 175 I have yet
to use any of the Astek
airbrushes.
For
the Record the airbrushes
are a Badger Crescendo 175
Bottom feed, duel action,
internal mix airbrush. It
comes in a triangular box
as a set with 3 needles
and tips for fine, medium,
and large spay patterns.
And
a Badger 360 Universal,(which
is the top one) and although
the brand name on it is
"Hobbytown U.S.A.",
It is exactly the same as
the Badger 360. This version
is sold at Hobbytown U.S.A.'s
but it seems to be a non
replaceable item as I bought
the last one at my local
store and they haven't replaced
it yet. It is a double action
airbrush that can be a bottom
siphon feed airbrush, or
the color cup rotates to
become a top feed gravity
airbrush. This is very handy
as in gravity feed mode
you can just put a few drops
of paint in and it will
spray nicely. This airbrush
also makes some nice thin
lines with practice.
The
wooden box you see here
was purchased at the craft
store and I cut out the
cardboard holders for the
equipment. I use model master
enamels and so I had to
make a jar adapter to fit
the bottles because badger
seems to only sell 33mm
and 20mm adapters and the
Model Master Bottles are
28mm. Can you tell which
of the above jar adapters
is homemade?
