About
the kit Subject:
The Panzer IV was developed in the Mid-1930's to fulfil German army plans for the forth 'heavy company in the panzer division that were then being secretly formed by the Nazis.
In 1938, when the first examples were delivered, the only western tanks with firepower to match it were obsolescent French models with tactically inefficient hull mounted guns. Only 211 had be completed by the outbreak of war in September 1939.
The Panzer IV, which beat the Panzer III into production set the pattern for battle tanks up to the present day, with a centrally mounted rotating turrent mounting a heavy gun armament and a coaxiam machine gun; a commanders cupola allowing 360 degree vision; and a forward compartment for the driver and radio operator.
Early Models were armed with the short-barrelled KwK 37 L/24 75mm gun but this was outranged by the 76mm guns of the soviet T-34s and production switched to the F2 model with a long barrelled KwK 40 L/43 gun.
Progrss so far is going smooth. will be most built OOB

Many photo's of Pz IV's show a add on bin on one side or the other for spare Roadwheels. so here is my attempt at making one from styreen and bits from the parts bin.
