The Thirteen Hexes Club award was created by the Lancaster Radio Transmitting Society to promote international interest in Lancaster County, PA about 1956. The background design was printed on high quality paper and the water colors were hand applied by the wife of Ray Enders, W3RLT. If you compare the colors on the award below to the sample linked above, you will see the individuality created by the hand coloring of the awards.
The printing was probably done by Tim Steckel, W3UMX. The location of the original printing plate is unknown.

This award is given by the Lancaster Radio Transmitting Society for finding a hidden transmitter in a club sponsored contest.
