Elisabeth Weber

In The Name of God Amen, I Elisabeth Weber of Bethel Township in the County of Lebanon and State of Pennsylvania single woman, being weak in body and of sound mind, memory and understanding but, considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, do make and Publish this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following to wit:

First, it is my Will and I do order that all my Just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied, as soon as conveniently can be after my decease.

Item: I give and devise unto Henry Uhrich all my undivided moiety or one half part of and in the plantation and Tract of Land with the appertenances whereon I now live and which said Henry Uhrich and myself do now hold as tenants in Common situate in Bethel Township in the County of Lebanon aforesaid adjoining to the lands of Jacob Wenner Amos Shannon Deceased Peter Rudy Philip Weber and others containing about one hundred and eighteen acres he paying for the same the sum of eight hundred dollars to be paid as follows to wit one hundred dollars part thereof one year after my decease one hundred dollars more two years after my decease and six hundred dollars the remainder thereof shall remain charged in the said Land untill after the Death of the said Henry Uhrich and Elisabeth his Wife and shall then be paid in manner herein after directed which said eight hundred Dollars I Give and bequeath as follows viz two hundred Dollars that is to say the two first of the said payments I give and bequeath unto Lovina Weber the Daughter of Adam Weber, and the other said six hundred dollars I give and bequeath unto all the children of Elisabeth Uhrich the wife of the said Henry Uhrich, to be divided between them in equal shares the oldest of which said children shall have his share thereof one year after the death of the said Henry Uhrich and Elisabeth his Wife the next oldest shall have his share two years after the death of the said Henry Uhrich and Elisabeth his wife and the third oldest shall have his share three years after the death of the said Henry Uhrich and Elisabeth his wife and so on as they succeed each other in age if she shall have more then three children of which said six hundred Dollars my said land shall be charged as before mentioned untill the same be fully paid to the said children of the said Elisabeth Uhrich or to their legal representatives respectively as within directed.

Item: I give and bequeath unto the said Lovina Weber the daughter of the said Adam Weber one Clock and case one stove and pipe and one Bed and Bedstead.

Item: I give and bequeath unto Elisabeth Uhrich the wife of the said Henry Uhrich one copper kettle.

Item: it is my Will that all my other Personal Estate shall be sold by Public Vendue as soon as conventiently may be after my decease and the money arising out of the same shall be applied towards paying my just debts and my funeral expenses and the remainder thereof (if any) shall be divided by my hereinafter named executor in four equal shares one of which shares I give and bequeath unto the said Lovina Daughter of Adam Weber and the other three shares there of I give and bequeath unto the children of the said Elisabeth Uhrich the wife of the said Henry Uhrich in share and share alike.

Item; it is my further Will that my clothes shall not be sold but that the same shall be divided between Elisabeth the wife of the said Henry Uhrich and the above named Lovina Daughter of the said Adam Weber. And I do hereby authorise and empower my Executor hereinafter named to make and Execute a good and sufficient Deed to the said Henry Uhrich for my share of the said plantation herein given and devised to him.

And lastly I nominate constitue and appoint my trusty friend Adam Weber to be the sole Executor of this my Will, hereby revoking all other Wills, legacies and bequests by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other, to be my last Will and Testament.

In Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal twenty nineth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one.

Signed sealed & declared by the said Testatrix as her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto set our names as Witness in the presence of the Testatrix and at her request.

This thirteenth day of September, A.D. 1841 Before me Henry Smith, Register of the probate of Wills and Granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of Lebanon, Personally came John Hoffa and Jacob Shnotterly, the sugscribing Witnesses to the within written Will and being duly Sworn and Affirmed according to Law, did depose and say, that they were present and saw and heard Elizabeth Weber, the testatrix, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for her Testament and last Will, and that at the time of so doing she was of perfect and sound mind, memory & understanding to the best of their knowledge observation & belief.
