Leber Cabin

Photo taken from York Co., PA newspaper dated Oct. 21, 1984. Log house was built around 1760 and located outside Yorkanna. Original owner and builder of the log house was Jacob Leber, who came to America on the ship "Dragon" in 1749.. Cabin measures 15' by 18'. Was originally built over a stream. According to the Daily Record, dated Nov 6, 1988, the cabin was dismantled, piece by piece, & tagged, by Historic York Inc. volunteers and some of the descendents of the house's builder, and was to be stored until Historic York could find a buyer.
Leber Log Cabin as it appeared in 2000. New location of log cabin, which is owned now by a private family, is near the PA-MD line.
Log cabin was put on a brick foundation.
