Lancaster New Era Lancaster, PA--Aug 6, 2001 Anna Mae OBENSTINE, 85, of the Masonic Homes, Elizabethtown, formerly of 70 Cedar Manor, Elizabethtown, died of natural causes Saturday at the Masonic Health Care Center. An 30-year Avon representative, she also worked many years in the Harrisburg Office of Aging. Born in Mount Joy Township, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Minnie GEBHARD HENRY. Surviving are two sons, David N. III, husband of Maxine OBENSTINE of Elizabethtown, Richard H., husband of Joan OBENSTINE of Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Phyllis M. GEORGE of Linglestown; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a brother and two granddaughters.
Scottsdale Daily Progress, AZ--June 9, 1971 David OBENSTINE, 54, who owned several mines in the Prescott area, was killed in an auto accident Sunday near Kingman. Mr. OBENSTINE, 7213 E. Lincoln dr., is survived by his wife, Valerie; six sons, Todd, Gregory and Colley, all of Scottsdale, and Larry, Dwayne and Gary, all of Gettysburg, Pa.; five daughters, Francesca of Scottsdale, Mrs Sandy SCHLLER of Phoenix, Mrs. Phyllis GEORGE of Harrisburg, Pa., and Donna and Karen, both of Gettysburg. He moved to Prescott in 1958 and to Scottsdale in 1970. Services for the Royalton, Pa., native will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Mercer Mortuary, 1541 E. Thomas. The Scottsdale Elks Lodge funeral committee will officiate.

The Weekly Bulletin, Mount Joy, PA--Jan 3, 1912 Mr. Jacob B. OCKER, a well known resident of town, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. A. B. HOFFER on Marietta street, yesterday afternoon at four-twenty, from a complication of diseases, aged 60 years 4 months and 1 day. One sister, Miss Sarah OCKER of Mechanicsburg, survives. The funeral will take place from the home of Mr. HOFFER on Friday afternoon at 1:30. Interment will be made in the Henry Eberle cemetery.

Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon, PA--Oct 8, 1915 The funeral of the late Mrs. Edward OXENREIDER, of Halfway, took place at nine o'clock this morning from her residence followed by services in the Grace Reformed Church at Avon. The services were in charge of the Rev. Warren C. Hess, pastor of the Grace church, and the Rev. H. J. Welker, former pastor. The Rev. D. U. Wolff, of Myerstown, offered a prayer. The pall bearers were Albert DECK, Isaac BECHTOLD, Ephraim ZUG and Charles WEISS. Interment took place at Myerstown. Funeral Director H. C. Rohland, of East Chestnut street had charge of the arrangements.

Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon, PA--Aug 21, 1915 In St. Joseph's Hospital, Reading, on Friday morning, William Arthur PEIFER, basketball and base ball player, died after an illness of five years. PEIFER had a handsome physique and was a member of the Reading basketball team of the Eastern League for two consecutive seasons. At one time he was recognized as one of the best forwards in the country. Five years ago he joined the Uniontown team of the Central League as a guard. In a game with Greensburg of that year PEIFER was tumbled over by an opposing guard and was kicked in the kidneys. At times he cherished bright hopes of recovery and re-entered the cage for short periods. Peifer frequently played basketball here and was well known to local fans.

Lancaster Daily Intell. Lancaster, PA--May 27, 1930 Michael PHILIPS, seventy-seven, Lincoln Highway West, died Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock of heart trouble. He was one of the oldest members of the Church of God. He was also a member of the I. O. O. F., Shifflers Council of the American Mechanics. Two sisters survive, Mrs. Susan FRY and Mrs. Lizzie WISNER, both of Lancaster. Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Church of God, Chestnut and Charlotte streets, with private interment in Lancaster cemetery.

The Daily Gazette, Sterling, IL--August 11, 1970 Funeral service for Mrs. Russell (Helen) RAHN, 70, of Lanark was held Friday afternoon in the Frank Funeral Home at Lanark. Burial was in Lanark Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Anhalt, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church at Lanark, of which Mrs. RAHN was a member, officiated and Mrs. Wayne Derrer was organist. Caring for the floral tributes were Mrs. Alma RAHN, Mrs. Ralph GARNER and Mrs. Rex RAHN. Pallbearers were Kenneth ERBSEN, Edward STURTZ, James MILLER, Ruben WILKIN, Patrick MCCUE and Fay SMITH. Mrs. RAHN died Wednesday morning in Freeport Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
The Evening News Harrisburg, PA-- June 22, 1990 Daniel S. RENSHAW, 80, of 1170 Peffer Road, Monroe Twp., died Wednesday in Hershey Medical Center. He was a retired carpenter and farmer, and was a member of the Eagles, the White Circle Club, and the VFW, all of Carlisle, and the VFW post in Boiling Springs. He was the widower of Velma GRIFFEY RENSHAW. Survivng are a daughter, Greta PEFFER, with whom he lived; two brothers, Lee W. of Boiling Springs, and Roy of Oberlin; three sisters, Pearle MALIE, Helen DITTENHAFER, and Pauline KOOK, all of Carlisle; and two grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Holly Springs Cemetery.
Lancaster New Era Lancaster, PA--Mar 23, 1917 Charles REPPERT, of Mt Hope, died Wednesday morning at home, at this place, from complication of diseases incident to old age. He was 81 and a lifelong resident of that section of the county. Survivors include: Joseph, Charles, George, all of Mt Hope; Oscar and John, Minersvillage in Lebanon Co.; William, Lebanon; Mrs. Elmire PUTT, Mt Hope; Mrs. Elizabeth PUTT, Lebanon; Mrs. Agnes BLANDENBERG, Cornwall. Funeral Sunday at home and 1 o'clock at United Christian Church of Mt Hope. Interment at Ruhl's Cemetery.

Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon, PA--Oct 1999 Cornwall native Harold REPPERT, 74, of Leeds, Ala., formerly of Dadeville, Ala., died of natural causes Sunday, Oct 17, 1999, at his home. He was the husband of Marilyn CASTLEBERRY REPPERT. He was a son of the late Ammon and Isabell REPPERT. He attended Cedar Grove Babitst Church of Leeds and was a Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are stepdaughters Jean OLAVESON of LaFayette, Ala., Judy QUINN of Mayton, Ala., and Myra MURRAY of San Diego, Calif.; brothers David REPPERT of Tennessee, Ernest REPPERT, Wayne REPPERT, Glenn REPPERT, all of Lebanon, and Ammon REPPERT Jr., Cornwall; sisters Emma SHELLEY and Christine YIENGST, both of Lebanon; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane SHANK, and a brother, Richard REPPERT. Services will be held at a later date. Johns-Ridout's Funeral Parlor, Birmingham, Ala., is handling the arrangements.

Lancaster New Era Lancaster, PA--June 4, 2001 Joan Ruth REPPERT, 60, of 16 Hilltop Ave., Akron, formerly of Reading, died Sunday at Essa Flory Hospice Center after an illness of several months. A homemaker, she was also employed by the Meke Inc. garment factory of New Holland. She graduated from Reading High School in 1961 and was a member of Ephrata United Zion Church, where she formerly taught Sunday school. She enjoyed crafts. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Charles O. WALKER of Reading and the late Evangeline KILAKIS WALKER. She was married to LeRoy REPPERT. Surviving besides her husband and father are a son, Andrew LeRoy of Lancaster; two granddaughters; two brothers, Ronald L. WALKER and Raymond C. WALKER, both of Reading; and a sister, Patricia L. MONSERRATE of Reading.
NEW Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon, PA--Aug. 1986 Lela B. REPPERT, 89, of Cornwall, died Tuesday August 12, 1986 at the LVGH. She was born in Quentin and a daughter of Samuel and Ellen DOHNER MILLER. She was a member of Cornwall United Methodist Church. Survivors are William C. Jr. Lebanon, Mary Jane and Earl MILLER. Funeral on Friday with interment at Cornwall Cemetery.
Lancaster New Era Lancaster, PA--July 13, 1999 Roy E. REPPERT, 74, of 724 N. Pine St., Manheim, died Tuesday evening at Lancaster General Hospital of natural causes. REPPERT was an industrial engineer for the Fuller Co., Manheim, for 35 years. He retired in 1981, then worked for three years as a machine operator at Fenner Drives, Manheim. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5956, Manheim. Known as "Gene" to his friends, REPPERT was a graduate of the former Manheim High School. He played semiprofessional baseball for the former Manheim Bulldogs. He was an avid golfer. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late Roy and Helen KELLER REPPERT. He was married to Christine A. GROMLING REPPERT for 17 years on Oct. 14. His first wife, Dorothy MILLER REPPERT, died in 1971. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jeanne L., married to Marlin GIBBLE, and Wendy S., married to Bruce MYERS, both of Manheim; two sons, Thomas E., married to Betty A. REPPERT of Lebanon, and Michael D. of Gettysburg; two stepdaughters, Paula A., married to Charles McLEAN of Linthicum, Md., and Stacey L., married to George MARLEY of Manheim; seven grandchildren; a stepgranddaughter; four great-grandchildren, and a brother H. James, married to Reba REPPERT of Manheim.

Lancaster New Era Lancaster, PA-- Jan 7, 1938 Joseph Andrew RESSLER, seventy-two, of Mountville, well-known plumber and heating contractor, died this morning at 3 o'clock at St Joseph's Hospital, of complication of diseases. He was born in Strasburg, the son of the late Simon and Elizabeth HERR RESSLER, and has been a resident of Mountville since 1912. He was a member of the Master Plumbers' association and was active in the Mountville Mennonite church. He was superintendent of the Sunday School at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Martha GOODMAN RESSLER, formerly of Manor township and the following children: Roy and Harry, of Mountville; and Mrs L.B. LENHARD, of Atlantic City; also six grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs Mattie BOOK, of Strasburg township; Phares, of Strasburg township; Aaron, of New Providence; Miller, of Eden township; S.E., of Hollywood, California; and M. H. of Bridgeport, Connecticut; also two step-children; Mrs. Myrtye GIMPER, of Mountville, and James H. GOODMAN, of Lancaster. Services will be held on Monday afternoon at the RESSLER home at 1:30 o'clock with further services in the Mountville Mennonite church at 2 o'clock in charge of John K. Charles. Interment will be in the Mountville cemetery. Friends may call at the home, Sunday, between 7 and 9 o'clock.

RICE, 524 West King street, died this morning at 8 o'clock at the Lancaster General hospital of a complication of diseases after an illness of four days. She was born in Bernville, Berks county, a daughter of the late Mathias and Lydia REBER WAGNER, and had been a resident of Lancaster for the past forty-five years. She was a member of the Reformed church. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Earl, Coatesville: Elvin, Paul and James, Lancaster, and four grandchildren. Services will be held at the parlors of Fred F. Groff, Inc., 234 West Orange street, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be in the Millersville Mennonite cemetery. Friends may call at Groff's Sunday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.

She was a homemaker and member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim. Her husband, E. John ROOT, died in November. Born in Florin, she was the daughter of the late Eiven and Esther REPPERT BROSEY. Her hobbies included painting and antiques. Surviving are a son, James K., husband of Marjorie ROOT of Manheim; seven grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Kenneth BROSEY of Manheim. She was preceded in death by a son, John K., and two sisters, Hilda DELONG and Arlene FLINCHBAUGH.

He was retired from the Hershey Medical Center, a Korean War veteran and a avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Arlene J. Lebanon Daily News Lebanon, PA--Mar. 12, 1926 Services were held this afternoon at two o'clock for the late Abner Samuel RUTH, at the residence of a son Daniel RUTH, 539 Walnut street, in charge of Rev. Roy L. Winters, pastor of St. James Lutheran church, Second and Chestnut streets. Many floral tokens were placed upon the grave at Ebenezer cemetery where burial took place in charge of Ray Arnold and son funeral directors. Friends of the family of the deceased acted as pallbearers.

SCHAUBERT of 1001 Ash Ave., Sterling, who died Friday at Community General Hospital. Virgil Sweany of the Church of Christ officiated at the services with burial taking place in Riverside Cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Richard L., SEIBERT of Hummelstown, and Terry R. SEIBERT of Lower Paxton Twp.; three daughters, Shirley A. PATRICK of Lower Paxton Twp., Kay M. DELANEY of Hummelstown and K. Jean BEACHELL of West Hanover Twp.; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in her church. Lancaster Daily Intell. Lancaster, PA--May 27, 1930 Morris L. SHENK, sixty six, died Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock, at his home on Cooper avenue, Landisville, of heart trouble and complications, after an illness of some months. He was born May 18, 1864 in Conestoga township a son of the late Jeremiah and Delilah KENDIG SHENK and resided in Landisville for three years. He was engaged in farming near Landisville for forty one years and was a member of Zion Lutheran church, Landisville. Besides his wife who was Catherine C. KLINE, of East Hempfield township, before marriage; one son, Albert K. SHENK, of Pittsburgh; a grandson, Titus BRUBAKER, Jr., of Rohrerstown; a sister in Reading and a brother, in Akron, Ohio, survive. Private funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock with public services at 2 o'clock in Zion Lutheran church, Landisville. Burial will be in the Reformed Mennonite cemetery east of Landisville.

B. church, Manheim. He is survived by his wife who was Miss Mary WEIDMAN, of Manheim, before marriage, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christian SHIMER, and four brothers, Paul, Thaddeus, Walter and Lawrence, all of McConnellsburg. Services will be held at the home of the parents, McConnellsburg, Sunday afternoon. Interment will be in McConnellsburg.

She was born near Manheim, the daughter of the late Christian and Elizabeth HERSHEY SHUEMAKER. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth SHEAFFER, Salunga, and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Born in Tulpehocken Township, Berks County, she was the daughter of Levi and Jane SPANGLER LONG. Her husband, Milton H. SMITH, died in 1976. A member of the Altalaha Lutheran Church, Rehrersburg, she is survived by three sons: Herman M., Newmanstown RD2; Ray H., Manheim; and Paul H., Fredericksburg. Also, two daughters: Mrs. Blanche J. BULLIAN, Palm Beach, Fla., and Evelyn M. SMITH, Mt. Aetna, with whom she last resided, and six grandchildren.

He was the widower of Olive M. BYRD SOULLIARD, who died in 1978 and his second wife, Hazel HANDBOE SOULLIARD, who died in 1994. Born in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Harrison and Elsie SOULLIARD. He had lived in the area all his life and was employed by the Lukens Steel Co. as a machinist, retiring at age 65. He was a member of the Parkesburg Baptist Church, the Lukens Veterans Guild, the Thorndale Senior Citizens and was an avid CB radio operator known as "Cap". He is survived by two sons, Clarence M. SOULLIARD Jr. of Escondido, Calif.; and Charles H. SOULLIARD of Mifflintown; a brother, Russell SOULLIARD of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3 at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg. Relatives and friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at the funeral home. Oxford Post, Chester Co., PA--Aug 29, 1956 Elsie R. SOULLIARD wife of Harrison W. SOULLIARD, died Monday in her 82nd year. Born at Duncannon, Pa., Mrs. SOULLIARD had lived at Parkesburg for 55 years but for the past year had been making her home in Lebanon. She was a member of Parkesburg Baptist church. Surviving her in addition to her husband are four sons: William, Oxford; George, Lebanon; Clarence, Parkesburg, and Russell, Coatesville. Also six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Anna WEBER, Rivington, Wyo., and three brothers, Samuel WEBER, Colebrook Pa., and John and Henry WEBER, Lebanon county. Services were held Thursday afternoon from the Wilde funeral home, Parkesburg with interment in Upper Octorara cemetery.

Coatesville Record, Chester Co., PA--Sept 25, 1956 A farmer Parkesburg man, Harrison W. SOULLIARD, 88, died Monday morning in Lebanon hospital following a short illness, after having been in failing health for several years. His death came four weeks after that of his wife, the former Elsie R. RUTH. SOULLIARD had been making his home with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George R. SOULLIARD, in Lebanon, for the past year. He was born in Fredericksburg, Pa., a son of the late George and Lydia SOULLIARD, and was well known in this vicinity, having lived in Parkesburg for many years. SOULLIARD was a member of the Parkesburg Baptist church. Surviving him are four sons: William, Oxford; George, Lebanon; Clarence, Parkesburg; and Russell, Coatesville. Also six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, George, Myerstown; and a sister, Mrs. Annie WALMER, Lebanon. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Wilde funeral home, 434 Main st., Parkesburg. Interment will be in Upper Octorara cemetery. Friends have been invited to call at the funeral home Wednesday evening.

He was a member of the Mennonite Church. He was the son of the later Peter and Sarah BURKHOLDER STAUFFER and died in the same room in which he had been born. He is survived by his wife, Annie M. METZLER STAUFFER; two daughters, Bertha, wife of Reubon B. WIDDERS, at home, and Alice, wife of Harry DIFFENDERFER, near Neffsville; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. STOKES was a prep cook at Masonic Homes, Elizabethtown. She was a former Girl Scout leader, fire police member and employee of Marietta Borough and its police department. Mrs. STOKES enjoyed reading, crafts, knitting, swimming and camping. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of Amy Ruth WEABER MUMAW of Mount Joy and the late Jesse J. MUMAW. Surviving in addition to her mother are three sons, Charles R. BEDWELL and John Luke BEDWELL, both of Mount Joy, and Kevin L., husband of Beth M. BEDWELL of Quarryville; two daughters, Melinda A. She was the wife of George R. STUMPF, to whom she was married 48 years on July 18. Born Dec. 7, 1929, in Cornwall, she was a daughter of the late John and Sallie REPPERT DEITZ. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters Elizabeth, wife of George YOUNGS, and Judy, wife of Joseph DESIMONE, both of Lebanon; sons George R. He had been a guest at the Alpine Nursing Home. He was a member of the Midway Church of the Brethren. Born in North Lebanon Township, he was a son of the late George and Sara FIELD TICE. His wife, Minnie S. KLINE TICE, died in September 1962. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Florence L. KRALL, and a son, Luke K. TICE, both of Lebanon; nine grandchildren, several great- and great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Three children preceded him in death, Elmer D., Herman J. and Warren S. TICE.

Before that time she had resided with her daughter, Mrs. Rebecca DIMITROFF, 635 S. Forge Road, Palmyra. A native of Mandeville, W. Va., she was a daughter of the late Thomas H. and Edith R. PETERS GORE. Her husband, the late David G. VAN SICKLE, died in February 1965 while they were living in Lancaster, N. Y. She was a registered nurse and had worked in the Hinton and Hopemont W. Va. area. She was a member of the Lancaster Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, N. Y. In addition to her daughter she is survived by two sons, Devid G. WAY, 51, a sheet metal mechanic who lived at 5-H Harvest View South, Mount Joy, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at home after a 14-month illness. WAY was last employed by Kirchoff Heating and Air Conditioning in Neffsville. Formerly of Manheim, he lived in Mount Joy for 14 years. A baseball fan, WAY coached Little League teams in Mount Joy and collected baseball cards. He also was an artist and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late George F. and Dorothy ZELL WAY. Surviving are three brothers, George E. of Rheems, Jay of Mountville and Larry of Lancaster.

He was the son of William & Sarah WEABER and was the last craftsman in the family of wooden pumpmakers. He and his wife, Mary Alice SHAAK, celebrated their 58th anniversary, Jan 26. He was a lifelong resident of S. Lebanon Twp and member of Tabor Reformed Church Lebanon. Survived by son, Miles T., at home; a grandson, Howard E., South Lebanon Twp.; and 2 great-grandchildren.

WEABER, Sr., well known throughout the city and adjoining counties died at his home in Avon, on Thursday evening, from a stroke of apoplexy, after an illness extending over a period of three years. He was confined to his bed since October 20th, last. Deceased was a pump maker by occupation and had he lived until next month he would have attained the age of 69 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Rebecca (BEHNEY) Weaber, and the following children: Mrs. John MOORE, Avon; Mrs. Riley YINGST, 409 Weidman street; John A. WEABER, Jr., Philadelphia; William WEABER, Avon; Bland WEABER, at home, and Ray WEABER, 413 Lehman street. The following are brothers and sisters, Henry WEABER, Colebrook; Mrs Henry SSHAEFFER, of this city; David WEABER, Sterling, Ill., and Jacob WEABER, South Lebanon township. A number of grandchildren also survive as follows: F. W. and J. Ira HURST, Harry, Roy and Lester MOORE, Woodrow and Reilly WEABER, and Clarence, Miriam, Sarah and John WEABER. Deceased followed his occupation up until three years ago, when he suffered the stroke. He was a staunch Democrat all his life. He resided in Avon for the past twenty-one years. The funeral will take place from his late residence on Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, followed by services in Grace Reformed church. Interment will be made at Kimmerling's cemetery.

For many years she was a resident of Avon, and there made many friends as well as in the city of Lebanon. WEABER, a resident of Colebrook for a number of years, died at his home at this place on Wednesday, after an illness of a week during which he suffered from a stroke of paralysis. He was a native of Prescott, this county, and was a veteran of the Civil War. He was well known in Lebanon, and as he had spent some time in other states, was also widely known elsewhere. He was 72 years of age. He leaves a wife, and six children, as follows: W. Tilden WEABER, and Samuel R. WEABER, of Colebrook; Anna, of Wyoming; Henry, of Colebrook; Mrs. Rose KENNER, of this city, and John R. WEABER, of Colebrook. There are also sixteen grandchildren. The funeral will take place on Saturday morning, with services at the Grace Reformed church, Avon.

He ran the planning mill for the Hershey Estate and then retired after working for Freidly's Carpentry in Mt Joy. He was a life member of the Lawn Fire Co., and the Order of Moose Lodge in Middletown, and he was a member of the Lebanon Valley Bible Church. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Victor A., husband of Rainelle WEABER, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a daughter, Donna J., wife of Pete ZIMA, Palmyra RD3; and a sister Ruth Mumma, Mt Joy. He was preceded in death by brothers Samuel, Charles, Russell and Edward, and sisters Almeda YOUTZ, Grace LEININGER and Edna LIBERHERR. Unknown newspaper -- Bernville: The funeral of Elias WEBER was held from his late residence in Jefferson township, and was very largely attended. Services were conducted by Rev. T. C. Leinbach, assisted by Rev. A. J. Long and Rev. Wm. Kramlich, at Host church. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. The remains were attired in a white quilted satin front robe, covered with an olderdown blanket and reposed in a solid walnut casket mounted with heavy silver bar extension handles. The plate on the lid bore the inscription, "Father." Bearers, Samuel BORKEY, Elias GROFF, Israel ZERBY and Jared FIDLER. Undertaker J. H. Hollenbach, had charge. (My note: Elias died May 1, 1899)

Reading Eagle, Berks Co., PA--June 13, 1923 Miss Mary WEBER, aged 68 years, died Tuesday following a stroke of apoplexy at the home of her sister, Mrs. William WEIDMAN, at this place. Deceased suffered a stroke Monday and was found in bed unconscious by her sister. For a number of years deceased was employed as a nurse at the Home for Widows and Single Women at Reading, and served in a similar capacity at homes in Philadelphia. She was a member of Salem Reformed Church, Bethel. Four brothers and three sisters, as follows, survive: Rev. A. S. WEBER, Baltimore, Md.; Jacob, Canton, O.; Harry, Philadelphia; Edward, Bethel; Mrs. Sarah WIDDIS, Philadelphia; Rebecca, wife of Edward LINDERMUTH, this place, and Mamie, wife of William WEIDMAN, with whom deceased made her home. The funeral will be held Saturday, June 16, at 1:30 p.m. at the house. Rev. C. M. Rissinger will officiate. Interment will be made in the Bethel cemetery.

WEIDMAN, died this morning in the Evangelical Congregational Home at Myerstown, where she had resided the past six years. She had been a resident of Wyomissing for many years. She was a native of Bethel, a daughter of the late John and Sophia (SNYDER) WEBER, and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg. Surviving are two sons, Warren W. WEIDMAN, Wyomissing, and Harry W. WEIDMAN, Philadelphia; one daughter, Rhoda, wife of Dr. Reuel A. ELY, Tampa, Fla; eight grandchildren; also a number of nieces and nephews. The Rev. Martin L. Rothenberger will officiate at funeral services in the Henninger Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Burial will be made in Christ Lutheran Cemetery at Stouchsburg.

He was born in Stouchsburg, a son of the late William H. and Minnie (WEBER) WEIDMAN. His wife, Laura E. (ADAMS) WEIDMAN, died July 17. Formerly of Wyomissing, Mr. Weidman was employed as a knitter by Triumph Knitting Mills, York, retiring 12 years ago. He was a member of the Grace and Hope Mission, York; Sons of the American Revolution and the Wyomissing Fire Co. Surviving are a son, Ronald E., Palo Alto, Calif.; a daughter , Janice L., wife of William E. NICHOLAS, Richmond, Va., and five grandchildren. Lancaster New Era Lancaster, PA--Dec 17, 1986 Kevin Hilt WEISER, 23, a Wilbur Chocolate Co. employee, was found dead Tuesday at about 2:40 a.m. at his home, 1581 S. Market St., Elizabethtown. Mount Joy Township police investigated when WEISER failed to report to work. The police, who said WEISER was found beside his bed with a note, are investigating the death as a possible suicide. An autopsy was performed according to Lancaster County Coroner Dr Barry D. Walp, but the cause of death remains undetermined pending further investigation. A spokesman for the family said WEISER had been under a physician's care. A 1982 graduate of Elizabethtown Area Senior High School, WEISER worked at the Mount Joy Division of the Wilbur Chocolate Co. A lifelong Elizabethtown resident, he was a member of Christ Church, United Church of Christ, Elizabethtown. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of John P and Ethel HILT WEISER, Elizabethtown. Surviving besides his parents is a brother, Craig H., Elizabethtown.

She was the widow of George W. "Shorty" WELLS, who died in 1981. A homemaker, she was an avid knitter and crocheter. She had given items she made to each member of her family. Mrs. WELLS also enjoyed growing flowers, especially African violets. Born in Upper Lawn, Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Ellen BRICKER KIPP. She is survived by a son, Charles R., Elizabethtown; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was married for 64 years in November to Rachel M. LANDIS WINTERS. "Aunt Fannie" ZEAGER, 96, formerly of 153 New Haven St., Mount Joy, died Friday morning at Leader Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Elizabethtown, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Carl B. ZEAGER, who died in 1975. Born in Mount Joy, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Mary BAKER ZINK. She was last employed by the former LeBlanc Textile Manufacturers Handkerchief Factory, Mount Joy, retiring in 1942. A longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Joy, she was one of the church's oldest members. Mrs. ZEAGER had a collection of more than 210 glass baskets and also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. The last of her immediate family, she is survived by nieces and nephews.

Mr. ZEIGLER was until the time of his death, boss carpenter in the York yards of the Pennsylvania Railroad company. He was a member of Goldsboro lodge, No. 791, Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Mrs. ZELL was a cashier at the former Greiner Brothers' Super Market and the former J.B. Lee Five-and-Dime Store, both in Elizabethtown. She was a member of St Paul's United Methodist Church, Elizabethtown, for more than 50 years. She enjoyed reading and arranging flowers. Born in Steelton, she was the daughter of the late William and Salome WEAVER McDERMOTT. Her husband, Gordon L. ZELL, Sr., died in 1979. Surviving are a daughter, Beverly J. EMENHEISER of Elizabethtown; a son, Gordon L. The Weekly Bulletin, Mount Joy, PA--Jan 3, 1912 Anna S., daughter of Harvey and Mary ZINK, of near Strickler's Church, in Rapho township, died on Sunday afternoon after a week's illness, death resulting from diphtheria. She is survived by one son, Robert S. of Lugoff, S. C.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
