Angelina is our main dancer in the programs, because Crystal plays the accordian during most of our songs. But Crystal will join her younger sister at times, and Angelina will often have one of her dance friends from the school join her as well.

Though the girls also know how to do the “soft shoe” dances, we normally only do the more dramatic “hard shoe” dancing. These are the shoes with metal on the bottoms and toes, making the loud, rytemic clicks as they dance.

During group dances a dancer will normally wear matching dresses specific to their dance school.
Text Box: Irish dance is how we got started in all this. Pictured above are the sisters, Angelina on the left and Crystal on the right. For years, ever since the girls were little, we drove all over the place to take them to lessons at Coyle School of Irish Dance or to a feis (competition). When Crystal was 17 she started her own Irish dance school in Lititz, Pennsylvania. She is presently working on becoming an officially certified Irish Dance Teacher (TCRG) so that her students can compete at a feis. She has since passed leadership of the school on to Anya, a close friend during those years of growing up in Irish dance. And Crystal still teaches at the dance school. For more information on the school follow this link to Lancaster School of Irish Dance.
