Text Box: We are an Irish Music and Dance group, six of us from the same family, three male and three female, along with close friends and sometimes locals joining in. We play at both public and private gatherings. Our program includes traditional Irish instrumental music, songs, and dance. We also weave within that some newer songs, ranging from slow and beautiful to more upbeat and expressing messages of the culture.

Our main instruments include the accordian, tin whistle (penny whistle), bodhran (Irish drum), fiddle and 12 string guitar. We add to this a bass guitar, the chanter (a part of bagpipes), low whistle, 6 string guitar, and others. Our vocals are both male and female.

We choose the happier and deeper songs that reflect the joy and strength of the Irish. The dance is normally done with the “hard shoes” which are known for the loud and rythemic clicking of the heel and toe.
