Egelman's Park. The trail is only a little bad at first, and there are some interesting plants around the pond, including Leatherwood.  Approach by Mineral Springs Rd. from the west and turn left at the end of the viaduct or by the same road (but called Howard Avenue) and turn right just before the viaduct.  Follow Glen Rd. to the top and turn left on Hill Rd. to get to the park.  (Or from the north use Hill Rd. from Antietam Lake.)  I'll let you know on Tuesday morning whether the walk is going or is cancelled by rain. Those not on the email list use the phone number below.

December 20, 2011           Tuesday    2 - 4 pm   Last walk of the year.
Nolde Forest  (Evergreens)  Meet at the main parking lot (near the Mansion and McConnell Hall) just off PA-625 south of Reading, 2 miles south of PA-724. We will meet rain or shine with samples and or slides to look at inside and more or less time outside depending on the showers.
