Memphis Project

This started as a black Memphis guitar, with a paisely colored pick guard.

I sanded down the original paint which I believe was laquer, sealed it, then shot the body with urethane enamel metalic automobile paint left over from a car refinish I did.

I then scuffed the areas I was going to airbrush with 2000 grit wet paper.

Next I laid down my clouds:

Then I used a product called sticky-micky to mask off my background.

Finally, I laid down my art:

This is the result, waiting for clear coat.
